u just have restart the whole process!..but u should have an approved 140 on Eb3..!
some ppl here may think its unethical or its cheating..but i think..the PD is a measure of the who is ahead in the line...not category..;-)

I tried a few times for scheduling infopass trying to get Boston which is closer to where I live. But I am getting Lawrence....I guess Boston office is flooded with appointments...Didn't know that Lawrence has a office too.
Will let you guys know if the meeting is of any help (which I doubt)...

I have applied for h1 transfer, uscis asking for purchase order.When i check with my employer he told me i have to get into project as soon as possible other wise H1b transfer will be rejected.I have a query? My wife is GC card holder, when she files for me at time of getting her citizenship, will issue occurs due this H1B reject?

Is it true that my spouse (currently on H4) with pending AOS if outside US when my (principal applicant) approval comes, will not be able to use H4. Will her H4 get invalidated the moment i become a permanent resident. What happens if she boards a plane and reaches US to find that her H4 is not valid ?

Basically I came here to earn some money and to have some good life ( cleaning my bathroom myself -- lol )
The way things are going here in US with Jobs / Economy overall thinking if it is worth to live here and worth to get a US Passport or to keep renewing GC.
I know it all depends on each indivisual perspective and views.. but taught of looking other views on this.

The question should be when is China going to figure out an alternative business model other than depressing currency and exporting to US.
Till that time US can print as much as they want and stick it to the a**es of people who buy us treasuries.

Dear friends, i would like to share my experience regarding the earlier post. My brother as i told you had surrendered his I-94 to the airline while departing for canada.
He went to the US immigration at Toronto airport and the officer asked him for his I-94 which he told that airline had taken from him. Officer told that the airline was wrong in doing so and called his superior who told that it was not a problem and they issued him with a new I-94 card with out a problem and he got back into the US.
i guess the lesson is not to panic and carry all your doccuments with you. In summary, automatic visa revalidation works but please do not surrender your old or new I-94 to the ailrine if you are planning to visit canada or mexico for < 30 days.

DOS and USCIS are slow. But it would be really helpful if the IV code team can provide some update on our site. I believe over 2.5 hours have passed since the last update regarding some update in 1 hour. I guess we can't do anything if it takes more time but an update always helps! Thank you.

I have heard this before on other forums , too.
I believe, the USCIS CSR confused "unrestricted" SSN with a "restricted" SSN. Most people on some kind of work permit (F1,H1B, EAD) have "Eligible to work with DHS authorization" ( or something similar ) imprinted on their Social Security card ( it certainly is in my social ), and I believe people with GC/USC don't have any such thing written on their SSN ( it's purely a guess by me, I'm yet to see a GC/USC holders SS card ;) ) . So, I don't think people on work permit can work just with DL and SS card ( if they could , why would they have not done until now :confused: ? ) .
But, on the other hand, I'd like to know, if people can continue working on the EAD receipt itself ??

If they reject the application if a signature or something is missing. Can we refile again? Or do we wait for PD to become current again.
In my oinion,
1) you can file again before August 17th if you got a rejection notification well before that.
2) If you may not be able to send proper application till August 17th then yes you will have to wait till PD becomes current again

Approved Asylum in 06. Applied for GC in 07, still pending and received this letter a few days back.

My question is - I am married to a US Citizen, and have a child(yes I know I should have applied thru her- but did'nt) Can I apply for another GC thru wife.

I think the ability to get an emergency 90 day EAD at the local field offices if they delayed more than 90 days is still there as it is there on the USCIS web page. No???
