Just try to be optimistic and move on. Something is better then nothing. Atleast now you know, you are good after 180 days, if you are not that happy with your current job. But untill then take is easy and keep going with your day to day works. Most folks are much better than they were prior to July. Anyway, the last quarter is typically slow when it comes to job market and use this time to refresh your skills and wait for the right time to make the right move.
Also having EAD/AP etc.. is better compared to being on H1/L1, but remember it is not as good as having GC. Atlest untill you get you GC, you have to be very careful. Also AC21, make sure you know the rule and take the right steps when invoking AC21.

You can apply for a PCC from Regional Passport Office. I got mine for Rs.300/- at the Passport office in just 2 days and its very simple. If you want a PCC from Police Department its a big hassle in India, you can approach only the Superintendent/Commissioner's Office to request one. Mostly Police in India demand money for these kind of simple things, its nothing but "bribe" which I'm against.

Just getting tensed, bcos I have cleared some of the interviews but the middle vendor are not ready to provide me with Client Letter which is required for my H1 extension as told my Visa sponsoring Company. The middle vendor will be providing with a Work Order.
-What are the chances of getting H1 approval without having Client letter?
-Will work order sufficient document to show INS that the client is requiring me for their project? Or will there be any RFE for it?
- if there are more that 2 middle layers (e.g. my company -> middle vendor A -> middle vendor B -> Client) , does INS require letter from every layeri.e. from A and B company ?
Please let me know about it. thanks in advance.

First thing to do is to correct the I-94. You can go to any International airport and do it.

The change between then and now is she has gained an extension for H4 status for the next 3 years. With this change will her class of admission on AP application be H4-B or something else? In case of filing for a spouse (wife or husband) and dependent children, form I-764 clearly ask to provide evidence. Atleast most recent year Tax Returns are REQUIRED as per the form. My attorney updated me to present additional 2 years of federal tax returns (not the state) as well, which are optional. Remember these are REQUIRED alongwith W2s or 1099s.

Thanks for the response. I have the receipt notice & approval notice for my 485 and 140 respectively. I am planning on interlinking our applications on my own, without the use of an attorney. I did however speak to a previous attorney of mine, and his recommendation was to wait until my spouse received his 485 receipt notice, and then send a letter to USCIS with a copy of both our receipt notices & marriage certificate asking them to merge both applications, with him being the primary applicant, and me being the derivative applicant.
However, since my spouse is concurrently filing his 140 & 485, I wasn't sure if his 140 needs to be approved before we interlink the applications. The attorney said that as long as he had his 485 receipt notice, the applications could be interlinked, but I wanted to be sure how his I-140 would tie into all of this. Any thoughts?

In this case your employer has to demonstrate ability to pay for year 2005 (even if you were not employed that time). If they have shown loss in 2005 tax return, chances are that your petition will be declined and only option is MTR and/or AAO.

The automated messages(online and phone) say one of the 5-6 standard recorded messages. Nothing more. If there is an RFE, its says there was an "Inquiry". It doesnt say what the RFE was about whehter it was about the beneficiary or the employer. If you talk to a live person, they say that you are not entitled to information as you are the beneficiary and you need to talk to the petitioner or lawyer of the petitioner.
What you need is COPIES of everything that the lawyer sends out to USCIS. Preferably BEFORE he sends out that fedex. So that you can verify yourself if they have made typos or mistakes in names, dates, etc.(most common paperwork errors).

Remember I-140 is Employer's not yours, only safety net for PD is I-485 +180 days (AC21 rule).
I 'm no expert. But what Veni001 is telling is incorrect. Even though you didn't apply for 485 you still can use that 140 and use that date.
There might be a little problem if the 140 is revoked. But you can certainly try.

I have the same A# on my I-140 receipt, I-485 receipt and EAD. But my EAD and I-485 uses my 2nd name as my middle initial whereas it is correct on my I-140.

Thank you for your reply. The scenario would be...if my husband loses his H1B due to a layoff, etc, then I would lose my H4 status. In that case, will I still be able to enter the US on a B1/B2 as it was initially valid till 2013.

While this may seem "out there", it's not really.
US Immigration Law recognizes some administrative divisions within countries. Take Northern Ireland as the classic example. You cannot apply for the DV Lottery if you are from the UK, except if you are from Northern Ireland, yet Northern Ireland is firmly part of the United Kingdom.
